Many factors influence our behavior.
One such is the Authority Bias used heavily when products & services are marketed to us!
This toothpaste Ad shows an authoritative person holding the product.
They didn’t even need to tell us he’s a Dentist!
The entire scene has enough visual cues to NUDGE us into thinking that this is a medical professional who knows what’s best for our healthy teeth!

But this bias is not always detrimental!
We can be nudged into doing good things too!
Amitabh Bachchan has probably convinced more parents, esp. from the lower economic strata, to get their kids vaccinated against polio.
Probably more effective than local doctors with all their logical reasoning !
